COLOMBO (News 1st); Sampath Bank has successfully led a syndicated loan of Rs. 33.5 billion for the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), partnering with Nations Trust Bank and Pan Asia Bank. This landmark financial arrangement is expected to ease CEB’s debt restructuring efforts and support its operational continuity, ensuring uninterrupted power supply across the country. The initiative underscores the collective strength and strategic role of Sri Lanka’s banking sector in supporting nationally critical institutions.
